In 2000, with more than two-decades of animation industry experience to draw on, Emmy-winner Nancy Cartwright (the voice of Bart Simpson on The Simpsons) founded SportsBlast, an animation development and production company that creates innovative content and shows for both the internet and traditional media, with a special focus on animated entertainment for the sports world.

Within months, the company’s first project, an animated web series about professional stock car racing called The Kellys, was underway. Developed and produced in association with Turner Sports Interactive, The Kellys concerns a family of dedicated stock car racers and their oftentimes humorous and sometimes dramatic efforts to reach the winner’s circle.

The cast of The Kellys features some of the top voice-actors in the world. In addition to Nancy Cartwright (The Simpsons; Rugrats; Kim Possible, The Replacements), are voice greats Rob Paulson (Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain; Land Before Time); Jess Harnell (Alf; Buffy the Vampire Slayer); Kath Souci (Rugrats; Winnie the Pooh); Cory Burton (101 Dalmations; Toy Story 2).

The show’s list of celebrities includes Catherine Bell (JAG, Army Wives), Camryn Manheim (The Practice, Ghost Whisperer) and entertainer/musician Isaac Hayes. Top Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series driver Kevin Harvick was the first professional driver to guest appear.

SportsBlast continues to develop and produce content with a sports theme, having worked with NBAE and The International Speedway Corporation on original content.
